Choosing the right tag for a particular RFID application is an important consideration, and it should take into account many of the factors listed below:
- communication distance
- is the tag reusable
- size and form factor
- how close will tags be to each other
- durability and resistant to harsh environments
- tags orientation with respect to the reader field
- supported communication Standards and Protocols
- operating frequency
- anti-collision and baud rate
- data protection and security
